A Winter Weather Travel Advisory has been issued for Parry Sound, with heavy snowfall expected to begin late Sunday morning and continue into the evening.
Individuals travelling outside of Greater Sudbury either through Parry Sound or near the area should expect less than ideal road conditions for the remainder of the day.
Significant snowfall is expected to reach the region by late Saturday morning or afternoon brought on by a strengthening low-pressure system, according to the Weather Network.
Some blowing snow is also likely, resulting in reduced visibility at times.
Precipitation should diminish to light snow or freezing drizzle by Sunday night.
Around 10-15 cm of snowfall expected in certain areas over the course of the day, with the majority of snowfall occuring in the afternoon.
