Paul Martin, the leader of the defeated Liberal government, won his seat in the riding of LaSalle-Émard in Quebec, but announced shortly after midnight Tuesday morning he will not continue as leader of the Liberal Party, which will sit in opposition.

While environmental issues may have taken a backseat in the federal election, there?s some exciting progress in the area of sustainable development in our fair city.

Voters can cast their ballots Monday from 9:30 am to 9:30 pm at all polls in Sudbury and Nickel Belt Northern Life will be publishing a special election results issue Tuesday, Jan. 24. The regular Wednesday issue will be cancelled.
