A 40-year-old Quebec man is in police custody following what police described as a mini crime spree.

Shortly after noon Dec. 12, officers were called to the parking lot of Value Village on Notre Dame Avenue after witnesses reported seeing a man entering cars in the parking lot and removing various items.

Upon their arrival, the police caught the man in the act. He had damaged several of the vehicles in the parking lot.

The man was found to be on four separate bail orders and three probation orders. In addition to the theft charges, he was charged with several counts of mischief and numerous breaches of court orders.

He is being held in custody over the weekend and is scheduled to appear in bail court on Monday.
