Counterfeit bills still in circulation

The Greater Sudbury Police Service and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have been working collaboratively on numerous complaints of counterfeit Canadian and American Currency, more recently dealing with $50 and $100 bills.

  The Greater Sudbury Police Service and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have been working collaboratively on numerous complaints of counterfeit Canadian and American Currency, more recently dealing with $50 and $100 bills. 

Since December 2007, the following individuals (all from Greater Sudbury) have been charged with uttering counterfeit and / or possession Counterfeit: Brian Burns, 36, Micheal Lepage, 27, Normand Pelletier, 31, Justin Toppazzini, 23, Daniel Carrier, 54, John Harris, 33, and a young person, 17, who cannot be named.

The investigations are continuing and further charges are pending.
