It took seven hours, but Greater Sudbury Police Service said a woman has been charged with arson and weapons dangerous after a standoff on Geneva Street today.

Officers responded to a disturbance call, said Staff Sgt. Peter Orsino. Once on scene, they were met with an unco-operative woman.

She was arrested and taken to Health Sciences North for treatment minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing, Orsino said.
