There were no injuries after a fire severely damaged a one-story bungalow on Hwy. 144 north of Chelmsford early Thursday (Nov. 16).
The owners of the building were not at home when firefighters showed up. A passing motorist phoned 911 around 4:30 am to report the fire.
Platoon chief Chris Stokes isn't sure how long it took his staff to extinguish the fire, but said they left the scene around 9:30 am. The fire marshal's office and the Greater Sudbury Police Service are investigating the fire, he said.
