Five charged after more than $25,000 in drugs seized

More than $25,000 of crack cocaine and oxycodone were seized after a search warrant was executed on a Grenoble Street residence on Nov. 25.

A 26-year-old Greater Sudbury woman was arrested, as were a 19-year-old man and woman, a 26-year-old man, and a 38-year-old man, all from Ottawa.

The warrant was obtained after a short investigation, explained Greater Sudbury Police constable Albert Lapalme.

All five are facing two charges of possession with intent to traffic, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

The 19-year-old man is facing an additional charge of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and resisting arrest.

They are scheduled to appear Nov. 26 in bail court.
