Two people were arrested after police received a complaint about a female attempting to cash a stolen cheque at a financial institution in downtown Sudbury on June 6.
An investigation by the Greater Sudbury Police Service revealed the female was accompanied by a male, who was also involved in the offence.
As a result, a 32-year-old female from Nairn Centre was charged with fraud, uttering a forged document and two counts of possession of stolen property. She is scheduled to appear in court on July 2.
A 30-year-old male from Sudbury is also in police custody awaiting a bail hearing on June 7. He was charged with fraud, uttering a forged document, possession of stolen property and breach of recognizance.
