A five-year-old Hanmer boy was admitted to hospital after being hit by a car Nov. 14.
Around 3:30 pm, Riley Richer was got off the school bus on Elmview St. in Hanmer and was crossing the street when he was hit by a car. Paramedics took the boy to St. Joseph's Health Centre where he was treated and released later that night.
Police have investigated the incident and have charged a 19-year-old Hanmer woman with failing to stop for a school bus, unsafe operation of a motor vehicle and two counts of driving while suspended.
