Two Ecole secondaire catholique Champlain students who became "unruly and verbally abusive" with a teacher April 27 were arrested by Greater Sudbury Police officers who happened to be in the school at the time.
The officers were in the school as part of ongoing liaison work, where they familiarize students with police officers and the law.
The students reportedly told the teacher they were going to wait for her to leave at the end of the day and flip her car over. The teacher feared for her safety because of the remarks.
The students were arrested and charged with threatening. They were later released on a promise to appear in court.
