A male driver is facing numerous charges after a motor vehicle collision June 22 at the intersection of Regent Street and Walford Road.
A 23-year-old male driver hit a vehicle and then fled the scene. When his vehicle came to a stop, he fled on foot. The male passenger of the vehicle also fled.
Police searched the area and apprehended both males.
The driver faces charges of:
- Impaired operation of a motor vehicle
- Failure to stop at the scene of an accident
- Possession of stolen property (licence plates)
- Owner operate motor vehicle without insurance
- Breach of probation
The male driver is being held in custody until a bail hearing, scheduled for June 23.
The male passenger was released unconditionally.
