Greater Sudbury Police were called to Long Lake Road during the morning of April 12 on a suspicious person complaint after residents observed a disoriented man who appeared to be soaked.
Further investigation revealed that he had walked onto the lake and fell through the ice into open water. He was able to make he way out, and a local resident took him in.
Police are reminding residents of the dangers of thinning ice at this time of year.
