A 23-year-old male resident of Chelmsford, identified as the party responsible for sinking his snowmobile in the YouTube video, presented himself to police on Friday, Jan. 11.
He was charged with careless driving under the Motorized Snow Vehicles Act and faces a fine of $325. Police are pursuing the identity of the second involved snowmobiler whose first name has been identified. The second driver is urged to contact the Traffic Branch at extension 2414.
The video which was captured by police showed the individuals drinking alcohol on the scene.
