Greater Sudbury Police are letting the public know that traffic will be slow in certain parts of the city May 3 between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. because of the Sudbury Rocks!!! Race, Run or Walk for Diabetes event.

The race will take place on streets including Elgin Street, Notre Dame Avenue, Lasalle Boulevard, Attlee Street, Gemmell Street, Falconbridge Road, Second Avenue, Bancroft Drive and Howey Drive.

"During this time, these streets will be filled with several hundred runners, marshals and logistical volunteers. Various lanes of traffic will be sectioned off with traffic pylons," stated a release.

"Police personnel will be stationed along the route to direct vehicular traffic. Delays and inconveniences are expected to be minimal, however, motorists are asked to be mindful of other users of roadways on Sunday morning."
