Two males from Val Caron were arrested in Mattawa on June 8 for being in possession of over 20 pounds of marijuana.
Mattawa OPP charged the males as a result of a traffic stop on McConnell Street.
An officer observed a vehicle at approximately 3:40 a.m. stopped at a local variety store, which was closed at the time.
Upon further investigation, the males were found to be in possession of a large quantity of cannabis with a street value of over $100,000.
Zacharais Simmons, 21, and Nathan Rowlands, 22, both of Val Caron, were each charged with one count of possession of marijuana and one count of trafficking.
