Updated: Missing Mindemoya woman has been found safe

Ontario Provincial Police tweeted Thursday afternoon that 29-year-old Vanessa Atawish has been located safe and sound.

Atawish was reported missing Monday evening.

"Manitoulin OPP would like to thank the public for their assistance," said the detachment via Twitter.

The Manitoulin OPP need the public's assistance to locate 29-year-old Vanessa Atawish of Mindemoya.

Atawish was reported missing during the evening of Jan. 21, and was last seen at a home in Mindemoya on Jan. 20.

She is described as standing 5-8 and weighing approximately 160 pounds with a medium build. She has short black hair and brown eyes. Atawish has two red dragons in the shape of a heart tattooed on her neck, as well as a tattoo of the name "Robert" on the right side of her neck.

She was last seen wearing a long purple winter coat with a high fuzzy collar, faded blue jeans and light brown winter boots.

Police are concerned for her well-being and are asking for the public's help to locate her
