Police investigating stabbing incidents

Greater Sudbury Police were called in to investigate two separate stabbing incidents over the weekend. On Saturday, police were called to an incident on Paris Street near Nepahwin Park at around 8:15 pm.

On Saturday, police were called to an incident on Paris Street near Nepahwin Park at around 8:15 pm.

As a result of a dispute between a 63-year-old man and three individuals, the man was stabbed numerous times. Police arrived and arrested three young offenders. Their names can't be released under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The victim was taken to St. Joseph's Health Centre and treated for multiple stab wounds, which were not considered to be life-threatening.
All three suspects remain in custody and are facing charges.

On Sunday morning, a 22-year-old man was stabbed repeatedly around 7 am after the victim had confronted another man at a party on Dell Street.

The suspect was stabbed numerous times in the back during the incident. The victim was taken to hospital and treated for non life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as being six-feet tall, with a thin build. He was wearing blue jeans and a dark sweater at the time of the incident.
