Kevin Joseph Lamoureaux, 29, has escaped from Sudbury District Jail by impersonating another prisoner to be released. He evaded custody just before 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28. Anyone with information about his whereabouts are asked to contact police at 675-9171.

Greater Sudbury police have notified the community to be aware that Kevin Joseph Lamoureaux, 29, has escaped custody from Sudbury District Jail.

Just before 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28, Laoureaux impersonated another prisoner who was due to be released. He is currently wanted by police for escape of lawful custody and impersonation.

Lamoureaux is described as 180 lbs with blue eyes, short blond hair, and a goatee. He has tattoos of a tiger head on his left arm, and praying hands on the left side of his neck.

He has ties to the Barrie and police believe he may be attempting to return there.
