One driver was charged with driving while under suspension during RIDE checks conducted Jan. 23.

The checks, which included 252 drivers, were conducted on Barrydowne Drive at Maley, Howey Drive at Downing, Auger Avenue at Fielding and Cedar Street at Elgin.

The driving while under suspension charge was one of six Highway Traffic Act tickets issued as a result of the checks.

Although six approved screening device demands were made, no drivers were charged with impaired driving-related offences.
