Dan Stack, who has been the acting deputy fire chief with the Greater Sudbury Fire Service, has been officially named deputy fire chief.
"I am pleased to announce that Dan Stack has been promoted to the position of deputy fire chief of operations," said fire chief Marc Leduc, in a release.
"We are very fortunate to have Dan's leadership and experience as we are advancing the efficiency and ability of our department. His energy and determination will be a great asset as we tackle the many challenges ahead.
"Dan's main responsibility will be to direct and oversee the suppression division for both the career and volunteer firefighters. Please join me in congratulating Dan in his new position."
