Summer car crash still under investigation

The Ontario Provincial Police are searching for more information about a collision on Hwy. 17 west of North Bay that claimed the lives of three people last summer.

Kimberly Onacia, 40, and Brian Dugas, 37, both from Sudbury, were killed in July 31, 2005 crash. Melanie Savord, 15, from North Bay, was also killed.

According to eye witness accounts and information gathered thus far, a green van was seen traveling eastbound in the westbound lane, causing a car traveling west to take evasive action, colliding with a pick-up truck. The green van stopped for a moment before driving away.
