Suspicious person reported to police

Greater Sudbury Police are investigating a complaint made about a suspicious person seen in the Wellington Heights area. While waking home from school Nov.

Greater Sudbury Police are investigating a complaint made about a suspicious person seen in the Wellington Heights area.

While waking home from school Nov. 10 at approximately 3 pm, a young girl was approached by a man in a dark-coloured pick-up truck. The man asked the girl for directions and a short conversation ensued. According to police, the girl then ran home and the man left the area.

The suspect is described as a white man, between 20 and 30-years-old, short and stocky with short dirty blond hair. He was clean shaven and was wearing blue jeans.

Police are advising parents and children to be aware of their immediate surroundings, to avoid approaching unknown people or vehicles and to report any similar incidents.
