A 44-year-old man is facing multiple charges after he got into a dispute with his landlord while intoxicated and then threatened police March 1.

When police arrived at the residence on Serpentine Street in Copper Cliff, they learned that the suspect had threatened to burn down the building. He was subsequently arrested for the offense of threatening to damage property.

While being arrested, the suspect then began to cause a disturbance by yelling and swearing. He then threatened two officers. While being transported to police headquarters, he kicked two windows out of the cruiser.

The suspect was charged with threatening to damage property, threatening bodily harm, threatening death, cause disturbance, two counts of mischief, as well as breach of probation. He is due to appear in bail court March 2.
