Youth escorted by police from high school

On May 27, Greater Sudbury Police officers attended a local high school to investigate an unwanted person complaint. Investigation revealed that a 17-year-old student had become unruly and disruptive and was no longer welcome at the school.

Investigation revealed that a 17-year-old student had become unruly and disruptive and was no longer welcome at the school.

While being escorted from the high school, the youth continued with his poor behaviour, ultimately threatening, as well as assaulting a member of the high school staff.

The youth was arrested by members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service and charged with the offences of threatening death and assault. 

The youth can not be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
