Sudbury's Aleisha Hart has placed third in Canada for her
figure division at the Canadian National Figure and Fitness
Championships held in New Westminster, British Columbia this
past weekend.
"I'm ecstatic to know that I'm a national champion," said the
athlete who was representing Ontario and is working towards
achieving her pro card.
Hart has been training for five years and placed first at the
provincials this year which qualified her to compete in the
Canadian nationals.
That was the first time Hart has competed at a national level
and is very proud of her achievement. She said she was hoping
to at least place in the top 10.
Hart will be representing Canada Aug. 29-31 in Cleveland, Ohio
at the IFBB North American Championships after winning the
world qualifier last year in Toronto at York University.
