Following a week's rest, the Sudbury
Northern Junior Wolves are taking on the Abitibi Eskinos at the
McClelland Arena tonight, hoping to continue their winning
ways.
Abitibi will be without their top point
producer Wednesday as Yves Bernard, along with teammate Chris
Shawanda are currently serving suspensions. With Bernard's
scoring touch out of the lineup, other Eskimos will have to
step up their play to fill the void.
Offence hasn't been a problem for the
Junior Wolves this season as they sit atop the league standings
with 38 points. Team captain and main offensive cog for the
Wolves, Brian McGarry is looking to continue his fine play and
move up in the stats column. Heading into tonights action,
McGarry scoring has placed in the top twenty among Canadian
Junior A players.
A silent auction will be held at the game
tonight featuring an autographed Tony Esposito jersey along
with other hockey memorabilia.
