LU skiing coach Yukon bound

Laurentian University Nordic skiing coach Mary Waddell will be taking a one-year sabbatical from the program in order for her to become the new Assistant Sport Co-ordinator for the Yukon.

Laurentian University Nordic skiing coach Mary Waddell will be taking a one-year sabbatical from the program in order for her to become the new Assistant Sport Co-ordinator for the Yukon.

Waddell is a Level III coach and was assistant coach at the World University Games. She also organized numerous ski programs and was a member for the Cross Country Ontario High Performance Committee.

Bob Hanson will continue to coach the Laurentian team in the meantime.

"We are very excited for Mary to be given this opportunity and wish her the best with this endevour," said Laurentian Athletic Director Peter Hellstrom in a news release.
