Sudbury Minor Bantam AAA Wolves win NOHA championship

The Sudbury Minor Bantam AAA Wolves came home with gold medals after defeating the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in six games to take the NOHA championship.

The Sudbury Minor Bantam AAA Wolves came home with gold medals after defeating the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in six games to take the NOHA championship.  It is the first time since 1997 that the Sudbury Minor Bantams have won the NOHA crown. 

The format was a six-point series.  The first game was won by Sudbury 5-3,with goals by Jeremy Faganely, and two each from Roch Pellerin and Justin Lockeyer.  The second game was won by the Sault, 6-2 with goals scored by Brett Wilson and Kyle Lekun for Sudbury. 

The third game was tied 2-2, with goals by Adam Ritchie and Lockeyer.  The fourth game was won by Sudbury 4-2 with two goals by Jeremy Faganely and one each to Lockeyer and Sebastien Leroux.  The fifth game ended in a 7-0 loss for Sudbury, but they came back to win the final and deciding game by a score of 6-4.  Wolves goals were scored by Faganely with a single, Roch Pellerin with two and Lockeyer netted the hat trick.
