The stands were packed over the weekend as hundreds gathered to watch the 2006 Swim Ontario Division II team championship meet at the Laurentian University Olympic pool.

The stands were packed over the weekend as hundreds gathered to watch the 2006 Swim Ontario Division II team championship meet at the Laurentian University Olympic pool.

Five hundred and seventy athletes from 19 teams across the province competed over the weekend for medals.

The Dolphins swim team from Barrie took first overall with 697 points.

The Burlington Aquatic Devilrays came in second place with 497 points. The Sudbury Laurentian Swim Club (SLSC) finished in sixth place with 319 points.

SLSC also had numerous medal winners, including James Clendenning (three golds and two silvers), Robert Clendenning (one gold), Kyleigh Commito (two golds and three silvers), Leah Derro (three bronzes), Buddy Green (one silver and two bronze) and Molly Green (one bronze and one silver).
