Wolves add O'Donnell to wall of fame

Posted by Sudbury Northern Life  The Sudbury Wolves have announced that former Wolves defenceman and current Los Angeles King Sean O'Donnell has been selected by the fans as the next member of the Laking Toyota Sudbury Wolves Wall of Fame.

The Sudbury Wolves have announced that former Wolves defenceman and current Los Angeles King Sean O'Donnell has been selected by the fans as the next member of the Laking Toyota Sudbury Wolves Wall of Fame.

O'Donnell played three seasons with the Wolves from 1988-1991 before becoming a sixth round draft pick of the Buffalo Sabres in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft.

O'Donnell played 186 games for the Wolves, scoring 16 goals with 51 assists for a career total of 67 points in addition to his 247 penalty minutes.

He was a winner of the 1991 Sudbury Wolves Best Defenceman award.

O'Donnell who is currently playing his 16th year in the NHL with the Los Angeles Kings, has career totals of GP 997, Goals 27, Assists 160 for 187 points to go with his 1,619 penalty minutes

O'Donnell joins former Wolves greats and wall of fame inductees Mike Foligno, Randy Carlyle, Jamie Rivers, Ron Duguay, Paul DiPietro and Don Beaupre in addition to numerous other Wolves greats such as Dale Hunter, Glen Murray, Pat Verbeek, Derek MacKenzie, and last season's inductee, Derek Armstrong.
