Despite coming off their win against the Peterborough Petes Friday night, the Wolves couldn't keep the streak going as they faced off against Kitchener and Guelph over the weekend.

Saturday afternoon the Wolves took on the Rangers and were defeated in overtime with a final score of 3-2.

The Wolves came out strong in the first period with John McFarland scoring his second goal of the season assisted by Matt Dias and Daniel Maggio, following the Rangers were able to get on the scoreboard first.

The Rangers were in the lead in the second period 2-1 followed by the game-tying goal by Patrick Lusnak in the third period, which forced them into over-time.

Myles Barbieri of the Kitchener Rangers scored the game winning goal at the 1:58 minute mark.

Sunday afternoon the Wolves faced off against the Guelph Storm, but once again came up short with a 6-4 loss.

The Wolves and Storm were neck and neck for the first two periods with back to back goals but the Storm came out on top. Scoring for the Wolves were Peter Hermenegildo, Matt Dias, Patrik Lusnak and Brett Thompson.

Matt Dias was named the games third star with one goal and two assists.

The Wolves will play two home games this weekend against the London Knights on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and the Belleville Bulls on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.

Friday night's game will feature a collection for Coats for Kids campaign by the United Way. Volunteers will be on hand to collect donations of slightly used winter coats.
