I Was Just Wondering: To list or not to list?

Finn the Griffon sees humans — well, one human in particular — making shopping lists, often forgetting them at home and usually coming back with more than was on the list. He wants to know: What’s the deal with that?

Do you make a shopping list? My mom does. However, I wonder how effective it is.

I see her writing the list, scratching stuff off the list, adding to the list, writing on the back of the list, Sometimes she makes a paper airplane out of the list and then starts all over again! It’s quite the process.

Then, she may forget the list at home, curse a little, and wing it. Often, she forgets the main item that she wanted to get in the first place. Oh, my poor mom.

When she remembers to bring the list (with 10 items or so) she comes home with 20 or more items.

So, I was wondering, is a list important to have or not?

PS.  I made a list, with one item on it. It’s to wish you all the best over the holidays. Share some love, laughter and joy with your family and friends.

“I Was Just Wondering” is a Sunday feature on Sudbury.com from Finn, a Brussels griffon breed of dog, and his “mom”, Jaana Pirnes. Come back next week to see what Finn is up to. Got a question for Finn? You can email him at [email protected].
