Unmitigated gall - Frank Petkovich
Nickel Belt NDP MPP Shelly Martel has the unmitigated gall to shift the responsibility for the provincial debt to the PCs. I suppose that is one of the reasons she gets re-elected each time. Frank Petkovich Sudbury

Gandhi's birthday - Parameswara Viswanathan
Ontarians will remember Oct 2, 2003 as election day, but the day is also of world significance.

Ashamed of city - Bruna Broglio
I'm glad the elections are near because I have a few concerns for which I don't have any solutions. Who's to blame? Who's responsible? I was raised in the Flour Mill in the 1960s. We were poor immigrants, but we were clean and had well kept homes.

Wonderful people - Anne Rinneard
I am a Steelworker from Local 6500. This past summer has taught me many things. One of the most prominent memories I will have is the people of Sudbury are wonderful. In our times of hardship and confusion, the community support was overwhelming.

Just wondering - Kev N. Rayner
I lived in Sudbury my whole life, and although I love it here, I may be forced to move because of the labour dispute between Local 6500 and Inco Ltd. I spent two years on environmental and two years on chemistry studies at Cambrian College.

Poor showing - Paul Chislett
I agree with letter writer Norm Udeschini that downtown hardly needs more parking. What disturbs me is that during Tourism Week the Odeon Theatre rubble was sitting there as a health and safety risk and as a cruel joke on the citizens of Sudbury.

Bully for Craig - R. St. Germain
So Councillor Doug Craig has decided not to run for mayor and he states that no one on the present council is suitable to run for the mayor's job. Well, that's his opinion and he is entitled to it.

Uncomfortable downtown - Jennifer Brouse
I think the only way to convince students that it's "safe" to reside in downtown Sudbury is to first work on cleaning up the people. I, for one, as a female student, feel uncomfortable and even fearful to walk downtown at night.
