It was a chilly day for an annual charity bikini car wash at Tommy's Car Wash on Paris Street Saturday afternoon. But bikini clad girls Sandra McPhee and Lindsey Sandul kept washing cars for the benefit of the Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA).

Jazz enthusiasts say they can't wait for the Jazz Sudbury Festival, which takes place Sept. 11 and 12 at Science North. Tickets to the festival, which is the first of its kind in Sudbury, have just been released.

The Military Family Support Group for Sudbury and surrounding areas began a yellow ribbon campaign in the Sudbury area because there are soldiers from Greater Sudbury serving in Afghanistan. The yellow ribbons are symbolic of supporting the troops.
