Community plays together in memory of Jordan Fram

An annual hockey event held in the memory of Jordan Fram, an avid hockey player who passed away in a mining accident at Stobie Mine seven years ago, raised $9,500 this year for the Jordan Fram Memorial Fund. To read more on this story click here

Claire's cosmetics pulled from shelves over asbestos fears

Popular cosmetics maker Claire's has pulled some of its products from the shelves in Canada after reports emerged that they contained asbestos. In an email, Health Canada said it's against Canadian law to sell products that “may cause injury to the health of the user." The product list has been made public to ensure public safety. Funky Brett in store as Stack Brewery prepares its 1,000th batch

Stack Brewing celebrated its 1,000th batch by preparing a funky brett beer with the help of local beer lovers. The beer will be aged for roughly six months before it will be available to purchase which will be just in time for their five-year anniversary. Sudbury Laurels hit first qualifier with flying colours

The Sudbury Laurels kicked off a new season of competition by sailing through your first meet with flying colours. The coaching staff could not have asked for much more as their relatively inexperienced crew returned from the first qualifier of the year in Orangeville, ON.
