Linda Sudden almost forgot to scratch and play her Instant Bingo card, which she purchased on her way to a ZZ Top concert between Sudbury and Toronto.

When she returned to her hotel room, she remembered the card and scratched away, winning herself $50,000, according to a press release from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG) corporation.

“I just felt like I had to scratch my Bingo ticket before midnight, before the end of my lucky day,” Sudden said in a press release. “It was so crazy to realize that I had won and that it really WAS my lucky day!”

The married mother of three said she intends to use the money to pay of part of her mortgage.

"I've just knocked off about five years of my working life," she said.

The winning ticket was purchased at Waubaushene Truck Stop in Waubaushene.
