Two males have been arrested on charges of child pornography.
Investigators from the Criminal Investigations Division received information regarding two males involved in child pornography distribution and Internet online child abuse in June.
Officers investigated a Sudbury-area man and received an involved computer. The Greater Sudbury Police Service Cyber Crime Unit reviewed the data contained within the computer and found graphic images and videos of child sexual abuse.
A Sudbury area man was arrested and a Criminal Code Search Warrant was executed at his residence, where another computer was seized.
Dwayne Tackaberry, 29, has been charged with the following offences:
- Possession of child pornography
- Access child pornography
He was scheduled to appear in bail court on July 9.
The OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Section investigated the second male involved in the online interaction in southern Ontario.
A Criminal Code Search Warrant was executed at his residence and evidence of child pornography was located.
The male was charged with the following offences:
- Possession of Child Pornography
- Distribution of Child Pornography
The Greater Sudbury Police Service Cyber Crime Unit is part of the Ontario Provincial Strategy - Internet Crimes against Children, which has been made possible by a grant from the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services and the Ministry of the Attorney General.
