Update: Suspect still at large following downtown stabbing

Updated Jan. 26 at 9:58 a.m.: Greater Sudbury Police have arrested one man involved in a stabbing on Old City Hall Lane off of Durham Street early this morning, but are still looking for a second man they say was involved in the incident.

At around 1:50 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a weapons complaint in the downtown.

Two men were attacked and stabbed by two other men after an altercation at SRO Nightclub. The two suspects fled the scene on foot.

The victims were transported to hospital and treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested one suspect shortly after the incident. 

The second suspect has not yet been arrested. He is described as black, about 6-2 in height, with an athletic build. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeve blue shirt.

Greater Sudbury Police say they're investigating a double stabbing on Durham Street last night.

Police issued the following tweet at around 8:25 a.m. GSPS told Sudbury.com the stabbing occurred on City Hall Lane, which is off Durham Street in the downtown core.

“Police investigating a double stabbing last night on Durham St. Minor injuries.1 male suspect still at large. Male, black, 6'2.”
