A concerned citizen phoned Greater Sudbury Police at around 1:30 a.m. July 19 after they observed a group of men smashing car windows at the Auto Doctor car lot on Notre Dame Avenue.

Just before police arrived, the witness saw the men leave and drive north on rural route 80 towards Valley East.

The vehicle was located shortly afterwards by officers.

Three of the four men were arrested for mischief, and were released from police custody later on July 19 with a pending court date.

The fourth man, who was the driver, was charged with mischief, as well as impaired operation of a motor vehicle and having 80 mg of alcohol in his blood. He is due to appear in bail court July 20.

“The public is encouraged to call police when they witness criminal activity, as the police will respond and take appropriate action,” stated a release from the police.
