Man's blood alcohol four times above legal limit

A 46-year-old man from the West End of Sudbury was arrested July 16 after breath samples revealed he had consumed more than four times the amount of alcohol allowed while in control of a vehicle. At around 10:20 p.m.

 A 46-year-old man from the West End of Sudbury was arrested July 16 after breath samples revealed he had consumed more than four times the amount of alcohol allowed while in control of a vehicle.

At around 10:20 p.m. that night, Greater Sudbury Police investigated a man who was sitting in his parked vehicle and believed to be impaired by alcohol.

He was charged with having care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol and having care and control of a motor vehicle while having consumed alcohol in such a quantity that the concentration of alcohol in the blood is greater than 80 milligrams in 100 millilitres of blood.

The suspect was released from custody and will be appearing in court Aug. 20.
