Victim receives minor injuries in overnight stabbing on Durham

Incident wasn't reported until hours after the fact

A section of sidewalk in front of Monteleone Custom Fashions and Tailoring on Durham Street was cordoned off with yellow tape this morning as Greater Sudbury Police investigated an overnight stabbing.

According to police spokesperson Kaitlyn Dunn, the stabbing occurred at Durham and Larch streets at around 2:15 a.m. Friday morning. The victim — a man — was brought to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect in the case is also a man. The incident was reported hours after the fact, police say.
