Greater Sudbury Police Service is continuing to investigate a robbery that occurred in the early morning hours of March 17.
At approximately 1:30 am, the 21-year-old male victim was operating his bicycle on Jean St. in Sudbury when he was accosted by two suspects. The victim was struck with a bottle and punched several times by the suspects who then stole his bicycle.
A woman was arrested on April 10 and charged with robbery, possession of a weapon and threatening death.
The second suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 21 years of age, standing six-feet-tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He was wearing dark clothing.
The stolen bicycle is described as a 21 speed Nakamura, black, red and silver in colour. The bicycle is customized with “Rock” shocks on the front wheel, a black front rim and chrome rear wheel. The value is approximately $1,000.
The victim suffered lacerations and bruising as a result of the incident and was treated and released at St. Joseph’s Health Centre.
A warrant had been issued for the arrest a woman police believe was involved in this incident.
