Traffic stop results in drug seizure

Once pulled over, the driver exited his vehicle and walked towards the front of it while ignoring the officer. After searching the area, the officer located a duffle bag containing marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia. The drugs have an estimated street value of $10,000.

The driver, Randy George, 40, of West Nipissing, was arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, operate motor vehicle without insurance, drive while under suspension, use of plate not authorized for vehicle and speeding.

He was held in custody for a bail hearing on Wednesday.
