Two men were killed when their vehicle rolled over on Hwy. 17, just west of Markstay. They have been identified by police as Ronald Labre, 46, and Shane McLeod, 33, both from Hanmer.
Ontario Provincial Police responded to the single vehicle rollover on Oct. 20 at 4:42 pm.
Police stated that the green Ford Winstar van was traveling west on Hwy. 17 when it crossed the centre line just west of Markstay, lost control on the south side shoulder, then rolled over in the south side ditch, hitting a rock cut.
Both the driver and the passenger were fatally injured andOPP are continuing their investigation into this fatal collision.
