A young man was taken into police custody Thursday after being caught in the process of preparing “a narcotic cigarette,” as a press release described it.
Plain clothes officers were in the area of Sudbury Secondary School when they came upon the youth, who was acting in a suspicious manner.
He was arrested for possession of a narcotic. He was also bound by two separate probation orders with specific orders not to possess drugs, to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
Charges were added for these offences and he is currently being held for bail.
This offender is a youth and cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
