The brother of a missing local cab driver said he was asked by police to see if he could identify a body that washed to shore Saturday night in the area of Beach 2 on Ramsey Lake. Gilles Gerard Couture, 57, has not been seen since Aug. 6.

Police are searching for three men after an assault which occurred early in the evening of Sept. 8 in the Lloyd St. area of the city.

On the evening of Sept. 7, members of the Espanola OPP Detachment received a call from a cottager on the North Channel reporting seeing S.O.S. signals with the use of a flashlight, coming from Amedroz Island.

Police were called to Copper Cliff at 1:20 a.m. Saturday after citizens reported an erratic driver, who was driving at high speeds and disobeying stop signs in the Power Street area.

A Toronto-area man has been charged with fraud-related charges after using a card reader and camera on a west end ATM. On Thursday, a citizen had stopped to use the ATM and noticed it wasn't working normally.
