Man injured after Hwy. 17 school bus accident
A two-vehicle accident involving a school bus on Highway 17 west of Hagar around 8:30 a.m. has left one man in hospital. An eastbound car crossed the centre line and struck the side of a westbound school bus, which was full of students.

A homeowner on Bancroft Dr. had an unwelcome guest trying to enter his home Thursday morning. At 10:15 a.m. the man contacted 9-1-1 when he realized that a bear was attempting to enter the house through a window.

Woman assaults little boy with branch
A little boy was assaulted by an adult woman on Sept. 9 around 8 p.m. The woman struck the victim several times with a tree branch. Police responded and their investigation resulted in the arrest of the woman, who is known to the victim.
