Cal McGibbon halted his attempt at setting a new Guinness world record for rope skipping after about 15 hours on Wednesday.

McGibbon had originally planned to set a new record by skipping rope for 36 consecutive hours, while raising money and awareness for the Sudbury Cancer Resource Centre. The skipper stopped due to a knee injury.

Despite not achieving his record, McGibbon still jumped away a winner. The local personal trainer and owner of a health food store raised almost $1,500 in donations from his attempt.
