Sudbury and region are forest fire free
As of June 7, there were no active forest fires in the Sudbury region. The region is experiencing a low to high hazard, with the greatest hazard being observed between Huntsville and Toronto, as well as in the far north of the province.

Continued downward trend in housing starts
Housing starts in Greater Sudbury dipped from 245 in April to 184 in May. Stats provided by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) show that Greater Sudbury is moving in the opposite direction of the provincial average.

Fire causes $150K in damage to Red Deer Lake Rd. home
