Police investigate attempted home invasion

Just before 1 am Wednesday, Greater Sudbury Police responded to an attempted home invasion in Valley East. Two men with long barreled guns allegedly tried to gain entrance to a Deschesne Road residence.

Two men with long barreled guns allegedly tried to gain entrance to a Deschesne Road residence. The woman inside the house was able to push the men out from the doorway and lock the door.

Uniformed officers, the canine unit and tactical officers performed a search of the area, but came up empty.

One of the suspects is described as a white male, with average height and a medium build. He had a blond goatee and was also wearing a blue toque. There is no description for the second suspect other than he's taller than the first.
